From June 14th to June 17th, 2023, the team of the SIM Center at CHC Ljubljana actively participated in an international conference organized by SESAM (Society for Simulation in Europe). During this conference, Uroš Zafošnik presented his research titled “The Importance of Integrating Theoretical Knowledge and Practical Skills in High-Fidelity Simulations.” The findings of this research highlighted, among other things, that providing students with skills and training before each simulation helps reduce stress.
The head of IRROZ, Prof. Zalika Klemenc Ketiš, and the director of the SIM Center, Uroš Zafošnik, also used the SESAM conference as an opportunity to present the Transsimed project to SESAM leaders and other experts in the field of simulations, such as Melih ElcinIz, Marc Lazarovici, and Marit Vassbotten Olsen. Together, they explored possibilities for involvement in the international Transsimed network.
The remaining team members, Davorin Marković, Ana Pintar Bojc, and Anja Poženel Belec, leveraged the SESAM conference to acquire new knowledge and insights from world-renowned experts in the field. They are now contemplating how to implement the newly acquired knowledge into the SIM Center environment in Ljubljana.
